Tim Lampley

Tim Lampley

Tim Lampley is an Emmy Award winning broadcaster and four-time Emmy nominee. In broadcast news, Tim worked as an overnight anchor at KSDK Newschannel 5 (NBC) in St. Louis. He was a general assignment reporter at WSIL-TV (ABC) in Carterville, Illinois and an anchor/reporter at WMBD-TV (CBS) in Peoria, Illinois and WTVO-TV (ABC) in Rockford, Illinois. In the world of entertainment journalism, Tim worked at Black Entertainment Television (BET), starting out as a news segment producer for BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley. He also served as a field producer and on-air reporter for BET shows like BET News, NYLA, Turnstyle and Maad Sports. In 2014, Tim was hired by two national networks, ReVolt-TV and TVOne (of RadioOne Networks), as their only on-the-ground correspondent, to cover the crisis in Ferguson, Missouri. In February of 2022, he was one of twelve area journalists honored by the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis with the organization’s prestigious Award of Merit as part of a Black History Month celebration. Tim is a former resident of the Washington D.C area, He currently resides just outside St. Louis, Missouri. He received his B.S. degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in Mass Communications. His minor is in Sociology.
