Nic Antaya

Nic Antaya

Nic Antaya is a photographer based in Michigan specializing in visual journalism. His work examines mental health, socio-economic issues and the complexity of human relationships. He will graduate in 2020 from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in sociology. In the spring of 2020, he studied at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus, Denmark. Nic attended Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI in 2018. He has completed internships with The Boston Globe, The Herald (Jasper, Indiana) and The Grand Rapids Press/MLive.com (Grand Rapids, Michigan). His work has been recognized by National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), Hearst Journalism Awards, Michigan Press Photographers Association (MPPA) and the Indiana News Photographers Association (INPA).
