Mitch Hanley

Mitch Hanley

A Peabody Award-winning producer, Hanley has spent more than 13 years in public media.

He began as an engineer/producer with A Prairie Home Companion, and The Writer’s Almanac. In 2003 he launched Speaking of Faith with Krista Tippett (now On Being), serving as Senior Producer/Technical Director before leaving in 2010 to attend Harvard Divinity School. In 2015 he began co-producing WVPB’s Us and Them, a podcast exploring America’s cultural divisions. His reporting includes two episodes on the nation’s opioid epidemic.

Hanley has also produced podcasts for American Public Media (Historically Black), and Harvard Law School (The Listening Room), among others.
